It is very important to know in advance exactly what kind of support (including medical support) is needed to ensure a safe and comfortable trip. We will consult with you primarily through online meetings. At that time, the meeting will be conducted by the nurse who will accompany you on your actual travel. This allows our nurses to know exactly what support you need and how we can provide it prior to your arrival in Japan.
We are not a travel agency. However, we can work with reliable and established travel agencies to make your wishes come true. We can also arrange private tours to suit your requirements, or even arrange for you to join us on a general tour.
If you need a vehicle with special accommodations for transportation, we will provide it.
In general, you can cancel your Joyful Journey reservation at any time. We are not responsible for cancelling your reservations for tours, transportation, hotels, etc. Those are subject to the cancellation policies of the vendors.
For support that involves an overnight stay, you will need to purchase an additional room for your nurse. If you require 24-hour assistance, we will make every effort to ensure that you and your assigned nurse have a room as close to each other as possible. If you do not need assistance during the night, your assigned nurse may stay at another nearby hotel.
In the event of an emergency, we will provide 24-hour support.
Joyful Journey has adequate amounts of insurance to protect against risks associated with its business. Such insurance includes professional liability insurance for medical professionals and insurance to protect our customers..
Comprehensive travel insurance generally protects you against the following: trip cancellations, interruptions, missed connections, delayed or canceled flights that result in lodging and meal expenses, medical treatment for illness or injury abroad, hospitalization, surgery, and a variety of other unforeseen expenses. We strongly recommend that you purchase comprehensive travel insurance. We do not have our own insurance business, but we can refer you to appropriate travel insurance companies in Japan.
